Job summary

MGAC in Washington, DC invites applications for an Assistant Construction Project Manager. This role requires on-site support about four days per week, with collaborative multi-phased projects and direct interface with client decision-makers.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in construction project management, a degree in construction mgmt or related field, and strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Procore, Bluebeam and MS Office experience a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in construction management, business, architecture, engineering (civil, structural, mechanical) or related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction project management with understanding of building design and construction process.
  • Experience with base building, schools, commercial, cultural, life sciences, corporate fit-out and/or developer work.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as an active member of a team of dynamic project managers in executing multi-phased projects, maintaining client expectations, and evolving project demands.
  • Experience with construction oversight, design management, contract management and project communications.
  • Responsible for monitoring progress in the field, schedule analysis, and quality control.
  • Opportunity to build trust with and have direct interface with the construction team and client decision-makers.
  • Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee and prepare accurate project documentation for all phases of the project.
  • Participate in tracking and processing invoices, purchase orders, and other financial commitments, exposure and obligations.
  • Maintain relationships with the wider construction industry, trade associates, vendors, and professional organizations.

Salary Range

$100,000 - $115,000 per year (commensuratewith experience)

The advertised salary range is intended as a general guideline and may vary based on factors such as experience,expertise, and location. This base salary does not reflect the full compensation package, which may include bonuses, 401(k) matching up to 8%, and other benefits.
