Job summary

SHINE Technologies, LLC seeks an Assistant Construction Planner to assist the lead planner with drafting and reviewing construction work packages and piping leak test packages per Work Instruction guidelines. You will plan, schedule, and coordinate piping and mechanical completions testing and participate in daily planning sessions.

The role requires 2+ years in planning and a related degree; familiarity with nuclear environments is preferred. Competitive salary and comprehensive package offered.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a maintenance supervisory or planning role.
  • Experience in Navy Nuclear or nuclear facility engineering in NRC/DOE environments desired.
  • Experience with computerized construction systems/project control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Site Construction Manager to develop, establish, and implement construction department policies, programs and procedures to self-perform construction.
  • Provide construction expertise in support of design and construction of the facility, including piping leak testing progress and tracking, training materials, work packages, and system walk-downs.
  • Define content and scope of process piping leak test packages; communicate testing priorities to coordinate pre-tests, restoration, and punch list completion walkdowns.
  • Assist lead planner with FIWP development by assembling document packages from the Construction Work Package.
  • Monitor HQMS document control database for IFC revisions.
  • Define and coordinate work plan activities (work packages, schedule input, weekly completion tracking) to enable efficient construction tasks.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Description

SHINE Technologies is seeking an Assistant Construction Planner will be responsible for assisting the lead planner with drafting and review of construction Work Packages, including the incorporation of stakeholder comments. The Assistant Construction Planner will also develop all facility piping leak test packages per SHINE Work Instruction guidelines, plan, schedule and coordinate piping and mechanical systems completions testing, attend and participate in daily departmental planning sessions.

The base salary range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00 plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Construction Planner include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with the Site Construction Manager to develop, establish, and implement construction department policies, programs and procedures as required to self-perform construction.
  • Provide construction expertise in support of the design and construction of the facility, such as: piping system leak testing progress and completions tracking, training materials, construction work packages, and system walk-downs.
  • Define content and scope of process piping leak test packages. Communicate testing priorities to SHINE Construction Coordinators to complete the pre-test, restoration, and punch list completion walkdowns.
  • Assist lead planner with (FIWP) Field Installation Work Package development by assembling document package from Technical Document Listing included within Construction Work Package(s)

Requirements
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering preferred but not necessary
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a maintenance supervisory or planning role strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Navy Nuclear or nuclear facility engineering, operations, maintenance, or equivalent in an NRC or DOE regulated environment desired but will train the proper candidate
  • Experience with computerized construction systems/project control systems.
  • Strong PC skills to include Microsoft software
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 40 lb.

Work involved moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
