Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This role supports the delivery of large-scale tenant improvement and development construction projects for data center clients, working closely with senior team members to drive planning through execution.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in construction project management, on-site work, and a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or related field.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in construction project management, with client-facing responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is required.
  • Experience with Tenant Improvement (TI) and Fit-Out projects in Commercial Real Estate is preferred.
  • Ability to work onsite as needed and coordinate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supply chain members to support compliant projects.
  • Analyze and track critical milestones to avoid delays in the schedule.
  • Support governance, processes, and systems for projects.
  • Ensure design standards are followed and progress is tracked.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and consultants through regular reporting and meetings.
  • Support cost control efforts and value engineering when needed.
  • Review project documentation and assist in client relationship management.

Job Description

Turner & Townsendis seeking a skilled and motivated AssistantProject Managerto join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of large-scale tenant improvement and development construction projects for our key data center clients. You will work closely with senior team members and stakeholders to help drive project success from planning through execution.

The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a solid foundation in construction project management. You should be comfortable managing day-to-day project activities, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and contributing to a collaborative team environment. A strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes are essential for this role.

*Role requires 5 days per week on site.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing stakeholders including architects, engineers, and members of the supply chain to support the delivery of compliant projects.
  • Analyze, track, and assist in managing critical milestone activities to help avoid delays in the schedule.
  • Support the implementation of effective project governance, processes, and systems.
  • Contribute to the application of best practices across all assigned projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of formal project status reports and other documentation as required.
  • Monitor the progress of construction projects to ensure that approved design standards are being followed.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and consultants through regular reporting tools and weekly meetings.
  • Help manage the flow of project information through consistent communication and documentation.
  • Support the forecasting and updating of key project milestones.
  • Assist in monitoring local design teams to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Provide general technical support to owners, architects, contractors, and regional stakeholders.
  • Respond promptly to requests for information from the field.
  • Support cost control efforts, value engineering, and constructability reviews when needed.
  • Review project documentation including reports, drawings, timelines, and cost estimates from consultants and contractors.
  • Assist in client relationship management by helping to maintain strong working relationships and identifying future opportunities.
  • Contribute to strategic thinking by offering input on project approaches that align with both client and business goals.
  • Help capture key information and lessons learned from each project for future reference.
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal systems and processes.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying potential opportunities with existing and new clients.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
  • Must be able and willing to work onsite as needed.
  • 2–5 years of experience inconstruction project management, with a strong track record inclient-facing roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree inConstruction Managementor a related field.
  • Proven experience inTenant Improvement (TI)andFit-Outprojects withinCommercial Real Estate.
  • Ability to provide strategic guidance throughout all phases of a project, including evaluating and recommending approaches to meet the client’s overall objectives.
  • Skilled inMicrosoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and construction management platforms such asProcore.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects efficiently, ensuring high-quality standards and on-time delivery.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience managingfast-paced projectsand working withdemanding stakeholders.
