Job summary

Arlington Properties is seeking an Assistant Community Manager in a hands-on role that blends leadership with leasing excellence. You will assist the Community Manager in day-to-day operations, supervise a team, and help drive resident satisfaction.

You’ll manage leasing processes, support retention efforts, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws while coordinating events and maintaining high standards across the community.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; college coursework preferred.
  • 1+ year in an assistant community role preferred.
  • Experience in leasing, sales, or property management (1+ year preferred).
  • Strong communication, organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and customer service best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; comfortable with property management systems.
  • Reliable, flexible, and willing to work weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Community Manager in leasing, operations, and team supervision.
  • Take full responsibility for the community in the manager’s absence.
  • Process rent payments, invoices, and resident documentation.
  • Assist with resident retention efforts and event planning.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations.
  • Monitor property condition and make improvement recommendations.
  • Serve as a role model to peers and uphold high operational standards.
