The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable, credible planning professional with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. This collaborative leader will bring expertise in contemporary urban planning practices and California’s evolving legal framework, along with the political acumen to work effectively with the community and elected and appointed officials. Successful candidates will have seven years of progressively responsible municipal planning experience, including three years in a supervisory role, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
