The NJ Department of Banking and Insurance seeks an experienced leader to serve as Assistant Insurance Commissioner, Office of Property and Casualty. Reporting to the Director of Insurance, the Assistant Commissioner, P&C plays a critical role directing the Department’s actuarial analysis and oversight of rates, new products, policies, and forms in the property and casualty sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
• Eight years of administrative insurance experience, including four years in a managerial role.
• Deep experience with property and casualty lines; experience overseeing actuaries.

Responsabilités

• Direct the Office of Property and Casualty and oversee actuarial analysis.
• Advise the Commissioner and executive management on regulatory changes and policy considerations.
• Oversee budgeting, personnel development, and departmental performance; engage with industry boards and NAIC.
