Job summary

St. Joseph School District seeks an Assistant Coach to aid in designing and implementing an activities program from 7th grade through varsity.

You will supervise student athletes, model positive behavior, and liaise with other schools and community organizations to support the program. This role reports to the Head Coach and Activities Director, focusing on developing training plans, game strategies, and ensuring safety and compliance with district policies.

Qualifications

• Must meet minimum MSHSAA requirements.
• Preferred: Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate and Previous Coaching Experience.

Responsibilities

• Attends work regularly and punctually.
• Assists Head Coach with off-season programs and opportunities for student athletes.
• Coordinates fundraising and budgeting with Head Coach.
• Develops game strategies and practice regimes to improve performance.
• Instructs and evaluates student athletes to promote growth and teamwork.
• Ensures safety and proper documentation for volunteers and participants.
