Job summary

Snow College is seeking qualified assistant coaches to support multiple sport teams on campus, including Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, and Softball. The role may involve teaching PE courses as well.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field and will have experience with sport-specific knowledge, recruiting, and student interaction. This is a full-time, on-site position at Snow College in Ephraim, UT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field is required.
• Be familiar with the sport you will be the assistant coach of.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, Canvas, and video breakdown tools.
• Basic knowledge of Hudl software.
• Ability to interact effectively with students and administration.
• Ability to recruit and develop relationships with high school programs.

Responsibilities

• Be a role model and mentor to students.
• Assist the head coach with day-to-day program operations and administration.
• Recruit high-quality student-athletes; travel to games and events as directed.
• Collaborate with high school coaches to attract student-athletes to Snow College.
• Organize and supervise off-season training for student-athletes.
• Monitor and support the academic progress of student-athletes.
• Teach adjunct classes in the Physical Education department.

Major Responsibilities/Duties

• Be a role model and mentor to students.
• Work with the head coach to accomplish the day-to-day operation and administration of the program.
• Recruit high-quality student-athletes. Off-campus recruiting travel to games, recruiting fairs, and schools as directed by the head coach.
• Work with high school coaches to attract student-athletes to Snow College.
• Organize and supervise out of season work for student-athletes.
• Supervise and monitor the academic progress of the student-athletes.
• Teach adjunct classes in the Physical Education department.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
