Job Description:

This posting is an Open Pool position. There may or may not beavailable openings at this time. Please contact the head coach toinquire if there is an opening. When an opening does occur, thehiring manager will draw from the pool of applicants we have onfile.

• To assist the head coach in providing leadership, organizationand supervision of a specific athletic team program. To assist withorganizing the program in a manner that supports the mission ofFitchburg State University and the philosophy of the AthleticsDepartment.
• Develop knowledge of and abide by current NCAA, MASCAC or otheraffiliated conferences, rules and regulations regarding recruiting,eligibility and sport-specific rules concerning practice andplaying seasons.
• Maintain knowledge of current sport game rules and changes tothose rules as they occur.
• Assist the head coach with all phases of the organization ofthe program as requested by the head coach, including practiceplanning, contest management, recruiting, fundraising, and otherresponsibilities.
• Maintain record of program-related hours worked in order tocomply with contracted maximum number of hours allowed as per theFair Labor Standards Act.
• Conduct oneself in an ethical manner during practices andcontests and demand appropriate behavior from all teampersonnel.
• Represent the program at department meetings and functions inthe absence of the head coach.
• Other duties as requested.

Preferred Qualifications:

• College playing and coaching experience in the sport applyingfor.
• Demonstrated understanding of sport rules and regulations.

Additional Information:

This is a part-time, non-benefited position, schedule varies withsome afternoon and weekend hours. Stipend range $1,000-$5,500. Thisposition is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
