Job summary

Monroe County School District seeks athletic coaches for high school varsity and JV programs. Applicants must hold a Florida Department of Education K-12 athletic coaching certification, or be eligible if they do not hold a Florida educator certificate.

All coaches must have valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the American Heart Association and complete the required background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Job description

Athletic Coaching K-12 certification issued by the Florida Department of Education certification is required for individuals who do not hold a valid Florida educator certificate to be paid to coach in public schools. All coaches are required to hold valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the American Heart Association.

High school Assistant Varsity & JV Coaches are paid a supplement of $1,550 at the end of the season.

Background Screening

Employment for this position is contingent upon successful completion of background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
