Job summary

Job Description

Position Description:

• To assist the head basketball coach in the development, organization and implementation of the entire basketball program, as well as in the provision of leadership to basketball personnel and student athletes.
• The coach must adhere to all LHSAA assigned district, Jefferson Parish Public School System (JPPSS) and the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) rules and regulations relative to the basketball program.
• Work day consists of time, after completion of the school day, necessary to adequately prepare the coach’s team for competition.
• Also, he/she must sometimes work weekends and holidays as determined by the preparedness of his/her team.

Security Statement:

• The coach must maintain security of electronic and print records with regard to confidentiality of student information and passwords that are issued for access to databases. Scope of Responsibility:
• Assists the head coach in providing overall supervision of the basketball program.
• Assists the head coach in maintenance, inventory and issuing of all equipment.
