• Background check
• Safety Course (every other year)
• First Aid/CPR/AED Training

Assist the head coach in meeting the criteria for a successful program.

Performance Responsibilities

1. Year-round

• Understanding and knowledge of rules and regulations regarding the sport as presented by the KHSAA.
• Stay updated on all rules and rule changes.
• Assist the head coach in carrying out assigned responsibilities.

Seasonal

• Assist in proper registration of all athletes.
• Assist in systematic issuance of equipment.
• Meet with squad to discuss rules and regulations, emphasizing Athletic Guidelines.
• Take responsibility for the care of equipment and facilities.
• Supervise athletes and teams as assigned.
• Attend practice sessions regularly.
• Apply discipline positively and firmly.
• Emphasize safety precautions and injury prevention.
• Conduct self ethically during contests and practices.

End of season

• Assist in returning, storing, and inventorying equipment.
• Additional duties may include scouting opponents.

Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach, Assistant Principal for Athletics, or Principal.
