Job summary

Northampton Community College seeks an Assistant Baseball Coach (Pitching) to join its Athletics Department. This part-time stipend role involves assisting the head coach with all facets of a successful NJCAA Division III program, including recruitment, retention, game and practice planning, and facility preparation.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree (preferred), collegiate coaching experience, and the ability to recruit student-athletes and contribute to academic success and NJCAA

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred from regionally accredited college or university.
• Collegiate coaching experience preferred with a demonstrated ability to recruit student-athletes and develop successful programs.
• Ability to travel to away games throughout the season with flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of the NJCAA Division III baseball program with the head coach.
• Assist with recruitment and retention of team members and game/practice planning.
• Support facility preparation and program operations.
• Demonstrate commitment to academic success and NJCAA compliance; relate well to student-athletes and diverse groups.

Duties to include working in conjunction with the head coach on all aspects of the program, including recruitment and retention of team members, game and practice planning and support with facility preparation. The preferred candidate will have a commitment to academic success and NJCAA compliance along with a strong ability to relate to student-athletes. Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in the college and community.
