Job summary

SpringHealth Behavioral Health and Integrated Care in Bellingham, WA, seeks a full-time Behavior Therapist for a hybrid role (3 days in clinic, 2 days remote). You will assist supervision teams, develop interventions, and train families in ABA techniques to reduce interfering behaviors and improve child skills.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in a related field or are enrolled in a Master’s program, with 2–3 years of experience with children 2–18 with developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in Master's program or have Master’s Degree in related field.
• 2-3 years experience working as a Behavior Therapist.
• 2-3 years experience working with children 2-18 with developmental disabilities.

• Assist Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Manager with clinical and administrative tasks.
• Develop interventions focusing on positive practices to decrease interfering behavior and increase skills.
• Provide training and consultation for families on positive supports and ABA interventions.
• Assist in developing goals across communication, living skills, social skills, and self-help areas.
• Assist intake, observations, and initial behavior assessments.
• Shadow therapists, review reports, and provide feedback.
• Conduct IOA to ensure data accuracy, coach therapists to reduce discrepancies.
• Provide therapy sessions for assigned clients.

Overview

Full-time- Bellingham Clinic

Hybrid role- 3 days in clinic and 2 days remote

Our therapy team executes customized treatment plans that deliver real results and exceed patients' expectations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Manager with clinical and administrative tasks.
• Assist with developing interventions focusing on positive practices to decrease interfering behavior and increase functional skills, including creating materials for use with various behavior programs, including in-home therapy and at schools.
• Provide ongoing training and consultation for families in the implementation of positive supports and behavioral interventions to reduce interfering behaviors, in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and their child's specific goals.
• Assist with developing goals in a range of areas including communication, functional living skills, social skills, self-help skills, and recreational and leisure skills in consultation with the clinical supervisor.
• Assist the clinical supervisor in the intake process, observations, and preparation of the consumer's initial behavior assessment.
• Shadow Behavior Therapists, review progress reports and data and provide periodic reviews of Behavioral Therapists' performance, including providing on-going verbal and written feedback to Behavior Therapists.
• Conduct Inter-Observer Agreements (IOA) to ensure accuracy of client data, coach Behavior Therapists to reduce data discrepancies.
• Provide therapy sessions for assigned clients.
