The Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology invitesapplications for a non-tenure track position at the rank ofAssistant Clinical Professor of Counseling to begin as earlyas Spring 2027. The primary responsibility of the clinicalassistant professor will be to serve as director of thedepartment's on-campus counseling and training clinic.Additionally, this individual will be expected to engage incommunity outreach initiatives, teach practicum/internship; advisestudents; and participate in program development.

The department offers CACREP-accredited master's level programs inclinical mental health counseling; marriage, couple, and familycounseling; school counseling; addictions counseling; and adoctoral program in Counselor Education. In 2020, the departmentwas named the SACES Outstanding Master's Level Program.

Required Qualifications

• A doctorate in counselor education.
• Licensure or licensure-eligibility as a Texas professionalcounselor (LPC) or marriage and family therapist (LMFT) at timeofemployment.
• Three (3) or more years of post-graduate experience as aprofessional counselor.
• Clinical supervision experience.
• Professional identity, experience, and training in one of thecounseling specialty areas offered by the department.
• Experience with community engagement and outreachinitiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• A doctorate in counselor education from a CACREP-accreditedprogram.
• Conversant in both English and Spanish.
• Experience attracting extramural funding.
• Membership and involvement in professional counselingorganizations.
• Graduate teaching experience.
• Credentialed as an LPC-supervisor.
• Experience working with varied student populations.
