GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking an Assistant Engineer in Poughkeepsie to assist with the design development of commercial, institutional, and residential projects. Key responsibilities involve site and utility design as well as drainage management. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's in civil engineering, 2-4 years of experience, and skills in AutoCAD. The role offers a pay range from $36 to $47 per hour based on experience and includes opportunities for career advancement.

Formación

• 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to control layer states within AutoCAD.
• Ability to work efficiently, both independently and in a team environment.

Responsabilidades

• Site design and layout of vehicular and pedestrian circulation.
• Roadway design, including street and sidewalk plans.
• Utility design plans and profiles.

Conocimientos

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Ability to multi-task and work under pressure

Basic skills and knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D

Basic knowledge of construction methods

Basic knowledge of federal, state, and local permitting

Educación

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited institution

Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) certificate or ability to obtain one
