Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Public Administration, Architecture or related field OR degree within three years of hire.
• Minimum of three years experience in public sector planning or similar governmental regulatory employment, preferably in municipal government.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License Class C at time of placement.

Responsibilities

• Assists the City Planner and Planning & Zoning division.
• Reviews development proposals, site plans, subdivision plans, and rezoning requests for compliance with zoning regulations and land use policies.
• Prepares and presents reports, presentations, and recommendations to city boards and committees on planning issues and policies.
• Provides technical assistance and guidance to city officials, staff, developers, and the public on planning-related matters.
• Conducts research and analyzes demographic and economic data to inform planning decisions.
