Job summary

The City of Olympia seeks an Assistant City Manager of Organizational Development and Performance to guide citywide organizational development, workforce planning, and employee engagement.

This senior leader oversees HR, Information Services and Clerk Services, directs cross-departmental initiatives, and may serve as Acting City Manager in the Manager's absence, reporting to the City Manager and collaborating with the Assistant City Manager for Strategic Planning & Communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Human Resources, Information Services, and Clerk Services (32 staff)
• Serve as designated risk manager and guide risk-management practices
• May serve as Acting City Manager in the City Manager's absence
• Collaborate with the Assistant City Manager for Strategic Planning & Communication to align city priorities
