Genie Matthews and Associates is seeking a full-time Assistant Chief Medical Officer in Pittsburgh, PA to provide clinical leadership and administrative oversight within an FQHC setting. The role combines active patient care with strategic leadership alongside the Chief Medical Officer to ensure high-quality, compliant, and financially sound operations.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board-eligible or -certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Active Pennsylvania medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience with prior leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care while maintaining an active clinical practice.
• Oversee medical providers to ensure quality, productivity, and compliance.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and evaluate physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with FQHC, HIPAA, OSHA, and accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning and program development.
• Improve access to care by optimizing provider templates and coverage planning.
• Develop relationships with clinical staff, administration, and community partners.
• Represent the organization in professional, regulatory, and community settings.
• Support development of clinical policies, workflows, and procedures.
