Salisbury VA Health Care System is seeking an experienced Assistant Chief of Health Information Management (ACHIM) to oversee the HIM department in a high- complexity medical facility. The role involves supervision of health record activities, coding, documentation integrity, and EHR practices, with a focus on policy development and staff training.

You will collaborate on data for reports, research, and quality management while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with VA regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for federal employment.
• Active Health Information Management (HIM) certification required.
• Experience in health information management and supervisory leadership.

Responsabilités

• Lead and supervise HIM department operations in a high-complexity medical facility.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of health record activities including coding, documentation, scanning, and EHR.
• Develop policies, training, and performance improvement plans for HIM staff.
• Coordinate data for reports and research while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
