Job summary

Fleming County High School in Flemingsburg, Kentucky is seeking an Assistant Athletic Coach to support the cheerleading sponsor and athletic program.

You will assist in daily and long-range activities, help plan the athletic program, supervise student athletes, and promote teamwork while adhering to health and safety standards. Prior coaching or extracurricular experience is preferred.

Position is part-time with emphasis on reliable attendance and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of and experience with the sport to be coached.
• Experience with coaching or work with students in extra-curricular/co-curricular teams, preferred.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the principal, athletic director or head coach.

Position Title: Assistant Athletic Coach

Responsible To: Principal

Basic Function: Assist coaches in various secondary, middle or elementary

school athletic programs.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Assist coaches in daily and long-range athletic activities.
• Assist coaches in planning the athletic program.
• Conduct learning experiences under the direction of the head coaches, with small groups of student athletes.
• Assist coaches in guiding participants toward a harmonious team spirit.
• Assist in providing escort assistance and supervision to athletes during period of team travel.
