Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 is seeking an Assistant Cheerleading Coach for the Fall season at Waukegan High School. You will support the Head Coach, supervise athletes, and promote sportsmanship and academics.
Requirements include a valid Illinois Standard Teaching Certificate or IHSA-approved coaching training (ASEP) and CPR/AED certification. This role focuses on building leadership and positive team culture within the school athletic program.
Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly 13,000 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located halfway between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. Our District has one early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high school program divided between two 9 – 12th grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park and Park City.

The Assistant Cheerleading Coach will be directly responsible to the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
Waukegan High School
Must have valid Illinois Standard Teaching Certificate or have satisfactorily completed a coaching training program approved by the IHSA Board of Director (ASEP); (2) CPR/AED certified.
