Job summary

YWCA Richmond is seeking an Assistant Director to support the Center Director in daily operations, ensuring high-quality programming and strong relationships with families and staff.

The role acts as liaison between teaching team and Center Director and may serve as acting Director in their absence. Responsibilities include enrollment processes, licensing compliance, family engagement, and staff supervision.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field.
• 3+ years experience as Lead Teacher in a preschool setting.
• Strong written, oral, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with standard office software and basic data entry.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from prospective families and guide enrollment.
• Maintain wait pool and enrollment documentation.
• Conduct school tours and support intake/enrollment processes.
• Assist with onboarding and orientation of new staff; coaching staff.
