Job summary

Magical Beginnings Learning Centers in Georgetown, MA is hiring a Massachusetts EEC Director II–certified Assistant Center Director to launch a brand-new school opening in January 2027. As Assistant Director, you will shape the center's culture, support the teaching team, build relationships with families, and help create a warm, high-quality environment from day one.

Qualifications

  • Massachusetts EEC Director II certification required
  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with relevant experience
  • 2–4 years leadership experience in daycare/preschool/early childhood setting
  • Strong knowledge of EEC compliance, licensing, and childcare regulations
  • Current First Aid and CPR, ongoing CE, and active State Registry
  • Experience with enrollment management and staff leadership
  • Commitment to high-quality early childhood education

Responsibilities

  • Oversee center operations and ensure MA EEC compliance and licensing alignment
  • Maintain staff and child files, and complete monthly fire drills
  • Prepare school for licensure visits; communicate with licensors; adapt to regulatory changes
  • Schedule staff within payroll budgets while meeting licensure and quality standards
  • Supervise and coach teaching staff and build a cohesive team culture
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and classroom ratios during ramp-up
  • Implement a multicultural, developmental curriculum supporting skill progression
  • Guide staff in documenting child growth and observations in Teacher Strategies Gold
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings, one-on-one check-ins, and parent meetings as needed
  • Partner with families to communicate effectively and drive enrollment in the community

At Magical Beginnings Learning Centers, we believe strong childcare programs are built by strong, supported leaders. We are hiring a Massachusetts EEC Director II–certified Assistant Center Director to lead our brand-new school opening inGeorgetown, MA.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early childhood education leader to help bring a brand-new center to life as we prepare to open in January 2027. As Assistant Director, you’ll play an important role in shaping the center’s culture, supporting the teaching team, building meaningful relationships with families, and helping establish a warm, high-quality environment from day one.

You’ll join a well-established organization with the operational structure, resources, enrollment support, and staffing partnership to help set you and your team up for success. Qualifications
  • Massachusetts EEC Director II certification (required)
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related degree with relevant experience or training
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a leadership role in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting
  • Strong knowledge of EEC compliance, licensing, and childcare regulations
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, active continuing education, and an updated State Registry
  • Experience with enrollment management and staff leadership

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all center operations, ensuring full compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations and licensing requirements, and alignment with Magical Beginnings' mission, goals, and handbooks
  • Ensure and implement all child-to-teacher state-mandated ratio compliances and safety/education regulations
  • Maintain mastery of licensure regulations — prepare the school for its licensing visits, communicate with licensors, and adapt to regulatory changes
  • Ensure staff and child files remain compliant at all times, and that monthly fire drills are completed
  • Schedule school staff within budgeted payroll guidelines while meeting licensure and company quality standards
  • Supervise, coach, and support teaching staff, building a cohesive, cooperative team culture as the school opens
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and classroom ratios during the critical ramp-up period of a new center
  • Ensure implementation of a developmental, multicultural curriculum that supports skill progression and social development across all classrooms
  • Guide staff in assessing and recording child growth and observations in Teacher Strategies Gold
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings, one‑on‑one check‑ins with staff, and parent meetings as needed
  • Partner with families to build strong communication and drive enrollment as the center establishes itself in the community

$55,000 - $65,000 a year

In addition to an annual salary, our Assistant Directors are eligible for an annual KPI-based bonus plan.
