Safavieh is an upscale global home furnishing, rugs & accessories company looking for a proactive, personable, highly motivated and organized Assistant Buyer – Home Furnishings.

Responsibilities

• Work with Senior Buyer during the product development phase while supporting seasonal concepts and needs
• Communicate with overseas vendors to define product requirements for design and sourcing to ensure on‑time delivery
• Responsible for SKU setup / SKU maintenance
• Responsible for handling all pricing: enter and maintain all price and cost changes, working closely with Senior Buyer
• Responsible for sample management
• Responsible for product photography management and maintenance to include reviewing product photography proofs and communicating with marketing teams in order to ensure all product is up‑to‑date on company webpage.
• Take on general administrative duties

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2 years Buying/Merchandising experience
• Strong Analytical and Excel skills
• Capable of reading sales trends, pulling reports, and applying learnings
• Ability to work autonomously, strong decision‑making skills with good judgement, and handling multiple priorities (shifting tasks and timelines appropriately)
• Must be articulate, assertive, and have excellent communication skills
• Experience in a cross‑functional role
