Five Below is seeking an Assistant Buyer in Philadelphia to support the Buying team with reports, analysis, and assortment growth. You will manage item setup, collaborate on POs, and assist in product development to match vendor specs and timelines.

Responsibilities include market trend monitoring, sample management, and cross-functional teamwork with supply chain and merchandising. Travel may be required; strong MS Office and BI skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience as an Assistant Buyer or in a similar retail role a plus.
  • Knowledge of product development, planning, and both domestic and overseas manufacturing.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with BI Reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects and contribute effectively to team efforts.
  • Negotiation skills and vendor relationship management a plus.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed.
  • Ability to embrace 5 core company values.

  • Monitor market trends through shop, social media, shows, and vendor appointments.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with vendors and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Use BI Reporting to analyze sales data and support insights.
  • Coordinate MOS, markdowns, RTVs, deal pricing, and marketing requests.
