EVEREVE is seeking an Assistant Buyer to oversee a single product category, manage vendors, and drive financial performance. The role supports the buying team in open-to-buy, margins, and markdowns while applying retail math and process improvements.

The successful candidate will have a 4-year merchandising background or equivalent, strong Excel skills, and a proactive, detail‑oriented mindset to execute daily tasks and contribute to strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a single category including selecting product and managing vendor base.

• Support in daily execution of driving the business and in logistics like PO creation.
• Align with the seasonal strategy, segmentation and trend direction with vendors.
• Negotiate with vendors for trade/markdown with slow sellers and protect profitability.
• Communicate clearly with internal and external partners and share selling information.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with vendors through transparent communication.

Responsibilities

• The Assistant Buyer is responsible for overseeing a single category which includes selecting product, managing vendor base, and delivering on financial goals
• Works with the buying team to open to buy, margin performance and markdowns across all categories
• Reports into the Senior Buyer and supports in the daily execution of driving the business
• Must have a clear understanding of the EVEREVE customer and possess a passion for the product
• Must have a working knowledge of retail math and the buying process
• Spearheads the execution of strategic projects that support company initiatives
• Manages inventory based on OTB and maintains proper unit and dollar levels for the buying area of responsibilities
• Partners with the buyer to ensure execution of the seasonal strategy, segmentation and trend direction
• Excels in identifying and reacting to patterns
• Negotiates with vendors for trade/markdown with slow sellers
• Ensures short‑term and long‑term profitability by planning and adhering to overall EVEREVE margin expectations
• Supports buyer as needed in daily logistics such as purchase order creation and other time‑sensitive tasks
• Collaborates with business partners in planning, marketing, and design to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time
• Displays exceptional communication skills both internally and externally
• Develops and maintains partnerships with vendors through sharing of selling information, transparent conversations and respectful and timely communication

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of buying support experience and/or graduate of a 4‑year Retail Merchandising program
• Bachelor’s Degree
