Job summary

Rogue Credit Union is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead daily branch operations, coach staff, and strengthen member loyalty in our branch.

You will work with the Branch Manager to achieve credit union goals and develop a high-performing team dedicated to outstanding member experiences.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of related experience.
  • Knowledge and ability to interpret regulations affecting deposit programs including Regulations B, D, E, Z, CC, and DD.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Branch Manager in achieving the credit union's Vision, Mission and Service Promises.
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach and manage staff to meet branch needs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and deposit program guidelines.
  • Develop and implement deposit product strategies and policies.
  • Assist in annual budgeting and sales goal setting with marketing for deposits.

Role:

Assists in the direct delivery of services to members and through branch staff. Works with the Branch Manager to increase member loyalty development and achieve credit union and branch specific strategic goals. Hires, develops, and supervises assigned staff.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

55% Assists the Branch Manager in achieving the credit union's Vision, Mission, Guiding Values and Service Promises in assigned branch. Recruits, hires, trains, coaches and manages a highly qualified staff sufficient to meet the needs of the areas assigned. Establishes and maintains objective accountability measurements and evaluates performance on all direct reports. Creates and maintains a coaching culture to consistently strive toward the highest level of achievement and performance for every employee. Provides leadership to ensure Tellers and other assigned staff reach strategic branch and individual goals. Participates in the scheduling of hours. Oversees general operations, daily practices and monitors product delivery quality. Opens or closes branch, conducts meetings, and provides report information as needed.

20% Serves Members as a top priority. Provides information and assistance. Troubleshoots and resolves Member concerns and problems. Backs up Tellers and other branch positions as needed.

10% Stays current on and ensures staff are in compliance with all applicable regulations and credit union guidelines. Responsible for compliance issues associated with deposit programs including Regulations B, D, E, Z, CC, and DD.

5% Assists in the development, proposals, and acceptance for and implement deposit program strategy and policy; leads activity related to new product development with respect to deposit programs and products.

5% Assists in the establishment of annual operational budget and helps monitor performance to budget throughout the year; establishes annual sales goals (in conjunction with marketing) for deposit products and initiates actions to achieve the goals.

5% Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned.

Knowledge & Skills:

Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: A high school education or GED. Knowledge and in-depth understanding of and ability to interpret regulations affecting deposit programs within the credit union, including Regulations B, D, E, Z, CC, and DD.

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating, influencing, or training others. Outside Contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Other Skills: Strong supervisory and personnel development skills. Good judgment and ability to hire a strong team capable of building trust and credibility with new and existing members. Excellent communication and training skills. Resourceful with strong conflict and problem resolution skills. Critical thinking skills with the ability to make recommendations. Self starter with excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong computer and software skills. Teller skills for backing up.

Physical Requirements: Some lifting required (up to 30 pounds), continuous sitting, occasional standing and occasional walking. Finger dexterity while using computer. Occasional talking and hearing in person and on the telephone. Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and continuous clarity of vision at 20 feet or more.

Work Environment: May require working Saturdays or Sunday. Normal workday with occasional overtime or unpredictable schedule. This position requires attendance at meetings and events in the evenings and on weekends. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery.
