Job summary

White Cap is hiring an Assistant Branch Manager in Washington to lead branch operations and customer service on-site. The role supports talent acquisition, development, and retention, stepping in for the Branch Manager to drive sales and profitability.

The position oversees procurement, inventory, shipping/receiving, warehousing, and sales, ensuring orders are billed correctly. Preferred candidates may have forklift experience and Oracle sales software knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or branch management role.
• Spanish language proficiency is preferred.
• Experience with sales order software is a plus (Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Support talent acquisition, development, and retention of branch staff.
• Manage the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence and help drive sales and profitability.
• Coordinate procurement, inventory control, shipping/receiving, warehousing, and sales in line with policies.
• Resolve customer issues, investigate inventory discrepancies, and adjust resources as needed.
• Provide customer service, support counter and inside sales, ensure accurate and timely order billing, and schedule staff.
• This position requires operating a company or personal vehicle >20% of the work week and an acceptable MVR.

• Support the talent acquisition, development, and retention of branch sales and operations associates.
• Manages the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence. Assists the manager in developing strategies to drive branch sales and profitability.
• Assists with the coordination of procurement, inventory control, shipping and receiving, warehousing, and sales in accordance with the policies, principles, and procedures established by the organization.
• Solves problems at the branch level. Investigates customer complaints involving matters such as damaged items, overcharges, and shipment/delivery delays. Makes necessary resource adjustments.
• Manages operational branch level problems, investigates inventory discrepancies, and makes adjustments as required.
• Serves customers and supports the counter and inside sales functions as necessary. Ensures all sales orders are billed correctly and in a timely manner. Schedules staff and analyzes budgets and variances.
• Generally has 5+ years of experience.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• This position requires operation of a company vehicle, or a personal vehicle and such operation is done consistently more than 20% of the average work week. If selected for this position, the company will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.

$67,400.00-$97,800.00 Annual
