Job summary

Plainfield South High School is seeking an assistant athletics/activities coach to support the head coach by planning and supervising practices, maintaining equipment and facilities, and handling team events.

The role requires knowledge of the sport, ability to teach skills, and prior coaching or playing experience, with strong organizational and communication abilities and a flexible approach. This is an on-site assignment within the Plainfield district athletics program.

Qualifications

• State of Illinois Professional Educator License registered in Will County.
• ASEP Requirements for Coaching in Illinois.
• State of Illinois Substitute Teaching License registered in Will County.

Responsibilities

• Support the head coach and assist with planning practices.
• Schedule and supervise practice sessions and games.
• Maintain equipment and facilities; organize team events.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned.
