Job summary

Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino is seeking an Assistant Beverage Manager to support the Director of Beverage in daily operations, guest satisfaction, and revenue performance in a fast-paced, 24/7 gaming environment.

You will coach Beverage Supervisors and frontline staff, manage inventories, and drive cost controls while upholding safety and regulatory standards. Strong leadership and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in hospitality, business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum three years of beverage operations experience in a high-volume casino, resort, or multi-outlet hospitality environment, including supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing bars and casino floor service in a gaming environment strongly preferred.
  • Willing and available to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.

  • Direct daily beverage operations to ensure efficient service flow, guest satisfaction, and revenue goals.
  • Supervise and develop Beverage Supervisors and front-line staff to maintain service standards and compliance.
  • Monitor staffing, shift coverage, and floor deployment to meet demand in a 24/7 environment.
  • Oversee beverage inventories, par levels, ordering, and cost controls to minimize waste.
  • Evaluate outlet performance via guest feedback, sales trends, and labor metrics; propose improvements.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and health/safety standards in beverage areas.
  • Enforce responsible beverage service and ensure certifications are maintained.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and F&B leadership on promotions and events to boost engagement and revenue.
  • Participate in interviewing, onboarding, training, performance observations, corrective action, and staff development planning.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, Tribal Gaming Commission, WA liquor laws, and company policies.
  • Communicate with Security, Cage, Surveillance, and other departments to support operations.
  • Maintain dependable attendance and fulfill assigned responsibilities.
  • Create a positive, safe work environment and report concerns as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Under the direction of the Director of Beverage, the Assistant Beverage Manager is responsible for assisting in the daily management and strategic oversight of all STRC beverage operations, including bars, service bars, and beverage service. This position focuses on driving guest satisfaction, beverage revenue performance, labor efficiency, and responsible alcohol service compliance in a high-volume 24/7 gaming environment.

The Assistant Beverage Manager provides leadership, coaching, and operational direction to Beverage Supervisors, Bartenders, and Casino Floor Servers while ensuring consistent service standards, inventory controls, and alignment with STRC guest service expectations and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and support a culture of excellence at Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino by modeling STRC values, delivering exceptional guest service, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
  • Provide exceptional guest service throughout all interactions.
  • Assist the Director of Beverage in directing daily beverage operations to ensure efficient service flow, guest satisfaction, and achievement of revenue and profitability goals.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop Beverage Supervisors and front-line beverage staff, including bartenders, barbacks and casino floor servers, to maintain consistent service standards and compliance with alcohol service regulations.
  • Monitor daily staffing levels, shift coverage, and floor deployment to meet fluctuating guest demand in a 24/7 casino environment.
  • Oversee beverage inventories, par levels, ordering processes, and cost control measures to ensure proper stock levels and minimal waste.
  • Evaluate outlet performance through guest satisfaction feedback, sales trends, labor usage, and operational metrics, and recommend adjustments to improve results.
  • Ensure all beverage areas maintain cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Enforce responsible alcohol service practices and ensure team members maintain required certifications and training compliance.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and F&B leadership on drink promotions, special events, and seasonal beverage programs to enhance guest engagement and revenue.
  • Participate in interviewing, onboarding, training, performance observations, corrective action, and team member development planning for beverage staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal controls, Tribal Gaming Commission regulations, WA State liquor laws, and company policies related to beverage operations.
  • Maintain strong communication with Security, Cage, Surveillance, and other departments to support seamless casino floor operations.
  • Demonstrate dependability and reliability by maintaining regular, punctual attendance and consistently fulfilling assigned responsibilities
  • Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive and safe work environment; promote healthy team member relations and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in hospitality, business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of beverage operations experience in a high-volume casino, resort, or multi-outlet hospitality environment, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience managing bars and casino floor service in a gaming environment strongly preferred.
