Job summary

Albertsons Companies in Frisco, TX is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to join our team and help lead daily bakery operations. You will oversee product quality, merchandising, and customer service while coaching bakery staff and driving store outcomes.

You will manage scheduling, training, and performance, ensure food safety compliance, and support promotions and merchandising initiatives to meet sales and profitability goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing day-to-day bakery department operations.
• Ensure products are properly baked, packaged, stocked, rotated, and displayed.
• Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards.
• Support execution of merchandising plans, seasonal programs, and sales promotions.
• Monitor department conditions to ensure operational readiness throughout business hours.
• Deliver exceptional service and create a customer-focused environment.
• Assist customers with product selection, custom orders, and special requests.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
• Promote bakery products through product knowledge and suggestive selling.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to bakery associates.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
• Support associate development and succession planning efforts.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and product replenishment.
• Monitor shrink, waste, and out-of-stock conditions.

Position Summary

The Assistant Bakery Manager supports the Bakery Manager in overseeing daily department operations, driving sales, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards for product quality, freshness, food safety, and presentation. This role assists with associate development, inventory management, merchandising, and operational execution while ensuring compliance with company policies and food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities Department Operations
