Job summary

Lucky Goat Coffee in Tallahassee, FL is seeking an Assistant Baker & Delivery Driver for a part-time (~20 hours/week) onsite role. You will assist the Head Baker, measure ingredients, and deliver items to six corporate cafes. Maintain quality, track inventory, and uphold GMP and safety standards.

You will collaborate with bakery and coffee staff, support recipe development, and help with equipment maintenance. Weekend availability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of baking experience.
• Ability to permanently reside in Tallahassee, Florida.
• A genuine passion for creating the highest quality baked goods.
• Comfortable driving a delivery vehicle in the local Tallahassee area and a clean driving record.
• Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail are a must.
• Extensive professional experience with commercial ovens, mixers, and other baking equipment.
• The ability to walk and stand for the majority of each shift and to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrated excellence in strategic thinking and process creation.
• The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
• Availability to work Saturday and Sunday shifts if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Baker to ensure that the baking schedule is efficient and meets customer demand.
• Deliver bakery items as needed per delivery schedule to our six (6) corporate cafes in Tallahassee.
• Measuring and preparing ingredients accurately.
• Maintain high-quality standards by inspecting baked goods for appearance, taste, and texture.
• Track inventory levels and notify the Head Baker when supplies need to be reordered.
• Help implement and maintain food safety and food quality plans including GMP best practices.
• Ensure bakery appearance and cleanliness align with health codes and food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the Head Baker to develop and test new recipes and products.
• Commit to effective teamwork with bakery and coffee staff.
• Perform regular cleaning, repair, and maintenance of kitchen equipment.

The Assistant Baker & Delivery Driver position will be responsible for assisting our Head Baker execute daily operations within the bakery including, but not limited to, ingredient preparation, inventory management, equipment prep & maintenance, quality control, and maintaining good food safety sanitation standards.
