The ideal candidate is ATC certified, with a bachelor's in athletic training or related field, and preferably HS training experience. Must maintain First Aid/CPR/AED certification and adapt to a variable schedule.

Milken Community School is seeking a knowledgeable, motivated and enthusiastic Athletic Trainer to provide maternity leave coverage and support the Director of Sports Medicine. The duties of the Athletic Trainer include, but not limited to, prevention of athletic injuries, evaluation and immediate care of athletic injuries, rehabilitation of injuries, and health care administration.This is a full time temporary position from October 30, 2026 through March 12, 2027 (dates are subject to change), with responsibilities that include coverage of the Sports Medicine clinic during the school day, as well as athletic practices and competitions during afternoons, evenings and occasional weekends.
Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. This includes the ability to carry, transport, and lift up to 50 pounds, and must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Must be able to work within various degrees of noise, temperature and air quality. Work surfaces will vary from concrete to grass to hardwood floors. Job responsibilities require both inside and outside assignments. Interruptions of work are routine. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be self-motivated and able to complete job assignments without direct supervision. May include early morning, evening and weekend work. As well as make site visits, depending on the season/sport, as needed. Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 6:00PM.
Hours may vary based on athletic seasons and events; occasional Sundays, nights, weekends, and early mornings are required.

$6,000 - $7,000 per month.
