The position will be considered for a 2-year fixed term appointment (with renewal contingent upon performance). The positions will be based at WSU’s main campus in Pullman, Washington. The anticipated start date is January 1, 2027.

Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

The new faculty will join faculty members in the School of EECS which has experienced rapid growth over the past few years. EECS expects continued increase in enrollments and anticipates multiple faculties hiring over the next few years. The current faculty composition in the School of EECS includes a member of the National Academy of Engineering and twelve fellows of national professional organizations as well as nineteen CAREER and Young Investigator award recipients. Our graduate students have recently won multiple prestigious awards including Microsoft Research fellowship, IBM Research fellowship, and NSF Computing Innovation fellowship.
New faculty members will join a collaborative academic community committed to excellence in teaching, curriculum innovation, student success, and engagement with industry and other external partners. The successful candidates will have opportunities to contribute to established computing programs as well as emerging curricular initiatives in artificial intelligence.
