Oregon Health & Science University in Portland is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor in Maternal Fetal Medicine. The successful candidate will provide clinical care at OHSU Hospital and other regional sites, engage in teaching and scholarly activities, and contribute to patient care in various settings.

The appointee will provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and the OHSU Center for Women's Health seeks a Perinatologist at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. This faculty position will provide clinical care at OHSU Hospital in Portland, Oregon, and regularly scheduled clinical coverage at contracted regional sites including Salem Health's Hospital in Salem, Hillsboro Medical Center in Hillsboro, and PeaceHealth SW Washington in Vancouver, Washington. The candidate will deliver care across the full range of maternal/fetal medicine, both inpatient and outpatient services, including ultrasound and echocardiology. Physicians with research interests in these areas are encouraged.

Multiple faculty opportunities exist at regional facilities and at OHSU.
Clinical Activities:
This position works with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to maternal-fetal medicine patients. The role requires expertise in clinical practice and administration across all services, including ultrasound, consults, procedures, and deliveries. Clinical performance must comply with regulations and guidelines from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, JCAHO, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid, and state, federal, and institutional guidelines. Activities occur at both OHSU and contracted locations.
Administrative Activities:
Faculty members participate in division and department meetings, assist the division head and department chair with day-to-day operations, and support strategic planning.
Scholarly Activities:
Faculty are expected to engage in scholarly work, including teaching, research, grant-supported work, and academic publishing. They may partner with other providers and support staff for clinical research projects.
Education:
The role provides clinical education to fellows, residents, and medical students in OB/GYN rotations. The faculty member will evaluate and guide learners in the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program and help improve the program.
Other Activities:
Opportunities exist for research on maternal-fetal health and public service through consultative activities with OHSU and external groups, and participation in departmental or hospital administration as approved.
