Job description

Assistant, Associate or Professor of Pediatrics

Kentucky Children’s Hospital and the University of Kentucky are seeking a full‑time BE/BC clinical pediatric Nephrologist with a broad interest in academic medicine. The position focuses on clinical care, teaching, and offers opportunities for scholarly activity. The candidate will join a collaborative division of nephrology and will:

  • Be recruited at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to the University of Kentucky.
  • Demonstrate effective clinical service and teaching in pediatric nephrology.
  • Hold an MD, DO or MD/PhD (or equivalent) with a sustained record of excellent service.

The Division of Pediatric Nephrology provides a full range of services including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, pheresis, and CRRT. Clinical responsibilities include all aspects of pediatric nephrology, with a focus on expanding the ESRD and renal transplant program. The division staffs one licensed pediatric hemodialysis unit in the state and is accredited for pediatric kidney transplantation.
