Position Description

The Department of Medicine and the Division of Gastroenterology at the University of California, San Diego are committed to academic excellence and seek Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientists under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and/or conduct experiments.
• Train, mentor, and teach students and others in the field.
• Leverage and contribute innovative and significant efforts to the project(s); participate in and present at scientific meetings.
• Write and contribute to scientific reports, manuscripts, and grant proposals for submission and/or publication.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application):

• MD, MD/PhD, PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, or a closely related discipline relevant to digestive and liver disease research.
