Job Description:

The Department of Pediatrics at The University of Toledo College of Medicine & Life Sciences invites applications for a Pediatric Associate Professor to join our growing academic health system.
This faculty position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced pediatrician to provide exceptional outpatient care while playing a significant role in the education and mentorship of medical students and resident physicians. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence, teaching, collaboration, and advancing the academic mission of the department.

Position Responsibilities:
Clinical Care
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care at two clinic locations
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions
  • Promote preventive health services, developmental assessments, and wellness care
  • Coordinate care with specialists, allied health professionals, and community providers
  • Contribute to quality improvement and patient-centered care initiatives
Teaching and Academic Responsibilities
  • Teach, supervise, and mentor medical students and resident physicians in ambulatory clinical settings
  • Participate in formal educational programs, lectures, case conferences, and curriculum development
  • Evaluate learner performance and provide meaningful feedback
  • Serve as a role model for professionalism, patient-centered care, and lifelong learning
  • Participate in departmental, college, and institutional academic activities
Faculty Leadership
  • Contribute to departmental strategic initiatives and educational advancement
  • Mentor junior faculty and learners when appropriate
  • Participate in scholarly activity, clinical research, quality improvement, or community outreach programs
Qualifications
