Job summary

The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. The senior educational officer will plan, develop and manage the predoctoral DDS program, and implement policies for curriculum, student evaluation, advancement and graduation.

The role reports to the Dean, leads curriculum evaluation and accreditation readiness, and collaborates with faculty, staff and students to sustain a humanistic learning environment and

Qualifications

• DDS/DMD and/or PhD degrees and appropriate rank.
• Education and academic experience commensurate with Assistant/Associate/Professor.
• At least 5 years experience in dental education at the institutional level.
• At least 5 years of administrative experience in a leadership role.
• Experience in curricular design, didactic and clinical assessment.
• CODA accreditation experience and readiness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and manage the predoctoral dental education program.
• Implement policies related to the DDS curriculum, student evaluation, advancement and graduation.
• Lead assessment, evaluation and continuous quality improvement of the curriculum.
• Prepare outcome measure data to support the educational program and accreditation standards.
• Establish a vision and strategic plan for the Office of Academic Affairs.
• Oversee operations of the Office and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
