Job summary

HDR is hiring an Assistant Area Accounting Lead in Durango, CO to support Area Management and ensure adherence to HDR policies and government standards. You will lead accounting staff, supervise project financial management, and maintain general accounting functions across the area.

You will coordinate invoicing, revenue review, forecasts, and cost control, contributing to accurate financial reporting and data-driven decisions in a collaborative, owner-employee culture.

Qualifications

• In this role you must demonstrate leadership and management skills to supervise accounting staff.
• You will apply analytical skills to ensure accuracy and compliance in project financials.
• You will oversee project accounting functions in line with HDR policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Invoicing and ensuring PA invoice deadlines are met.
• Monitor monthly invoice cycle and identify process improvements.
• Oversee Revenue Review and watchlist preparation with notes for meetings.
• Coordinate rolling 12/Forecast and area forecasts for budgeting.
• Review AR tracking, OH/GL analysis, and cost recovery activities.
• Provide solutions to Area Management reporting needs (BI, utilization, AR, MSPL).
• Support marketing/proposal data requests and maintain rate sheets for clients.
• Ensure best practices and guidelines align with project accounting standards.
