adidas in Portland, OR is seeking a graphic designer to assist the Design team in creating market-right ranges and products for the adidas brand, collaborating with marketing and development in an international team. The role focuses on translating design direction into graphics and maintaining corporate identity.

You will present ideas, support product management, and ensure efficient communication across design, marketing and development while upholding the adidas visual language.

Formación

• BA or MA in Graphic design or comparable education.
• Preferably practical experience in a design environment.
• Strong knowledge of Mac design software and CI guidelines.

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANISATION

Assists the Design team to design market right ranges and products for the adidas brand as part of an international design team in cooperation with marketing and development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute the seasonal Direction of the Category according to market trends as well as overall Design Direction and ensure consistency through graphics.
• Develop creative graphic solutions to individual products.
• Work with creative process and executes towards given targets and defined design languages and strategies.
• Execute graphic design work according to the visual language of adidas as well as given Corporate Identity guidelines according to legal guidance.
• Verbally present graphic ideas and details with clarity in small groups and team meetings
• Ensure an efficient process and communication flow between design, marketing and development for all issues regarding the ranges and products
• Support product management and development in all issues regarding the realization of graphic solutions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of graphic design with awareness of the competitive market
• Good communication and presentation skills
• High level of creativity
• Knowledge and use of Macintosh computer design software/systems (Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Knowledge in designing screenprint/embroidery graphics for apparel is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of Licensed Sports product is preferred but not required
