DLF Pickseed is seeking an Assistant Alfalfa Breeder to join our European breeding program. You will design, conduct and analyze field trials, document results and contribute to program optimization through new methods and IT tools.

You will coordinate team activities, ensure data reliability, and align breeding objectives with market needs while maintaining rigorous timelines and budgets. English fluency is essential for collaboration with stations across Europe, the US, and Oceania.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and conducting breeding trials.
• Experience with agronomic observations and data interpretation.
• Fluency in English and ability to collaborate in an international team.

Responsibilities

• Design, conduct, analyze and document breeding trials per program objectives.
• Develop and implement new methods and technologies for the program.
• Ensure data reliability and process efficiency through IT tools and rigorous activity management.
• Coordinate team activities and provide operational support to meet quality, deadlines and budget objectives.
• Incorporate market needs into selection objectives and support strategic directions.
• Monitor scientific, technological and competitive landscape to propose innovations.
• Communicate with the program manager and colleagues across Europe, the United States and Oceania.
