Alliant Insurance Services is seeking a detail-oriented Account Manager to provide superior service to assigned clients and policies in a fast-paced brokerage environment. You will support producers with new business, coordinate renewals, and help optimize coverage for small to mid-size accounts.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, plus a valid insurance license and a commitment to ongoing CE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One (1) or more years related work experience.
• Valid Insurance License; continue CE requirements for renewal.

Responsibilities

• Works with carriers to obtain quotes; assist with pricing, commissions, and coverages.
• Reviews policies for accuracy and addresses deficiencies.
• Coordinates renewal process for expiring policies.
• Prepares client proposals and presentations.
• Participates in client meetings to review coverage.
• Researches information requests from underwriters; drafts correspondence.
• Sets renewal and new business strategy with Producer or Supervisor.
• Binds coverage and prepares binders; creates certificate templates.
• Reviews contracts for insurance compliance and coverage gaps.
• Develops new business leads and cross-sell opportunities; maintains client relationships.

SUMMARY

Responsible for providing customer service and overall service of assigned customers and/or policies, soliciting of new business on existing accounts and support of Producer-led new business efforts. Accounts generally consist of basic lines of coverage, fewer lines of coverage, straight-forward exposures, and small revenue size. Book size is small to medium.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works with existing carrier(s) to obtain quotes as required; minimal Marketing required;
• Assists with negotiating prices, commissions, and/or coverages with carriers;
• Reviews policies for accuracy, identifies deficiencies and may make recommendations for broader coverage(s)/limit(s);
• Coordinates renewal process for expiring policies;
• Prepares presentations and/or proposals for clients;
• Participates in client meetings to review coverage;
• Researches requests for information from Underwriters;
• Composes correspondence to insureds and/or Underwriters;
• Discusses and assists in setting renewal and/or new business marketing strategy with Producer or Supervisor;
• Binds insurance coverage and prepares binders;
• Prepares certificate templates;
• Analyzes certificate requests, including review of contracts for insurance compliance when required, to ensure certificates are issued correctly and coverage gaps are addressed;
• Receives and develops new business leads from Producers or identifies and develops cross-sell opportunities;
• Fosters and manages overall relationship with clients ensuring retention of large market book of business and high satisfaction in coordination with Producer;
• Participates in the claims process as necessary;
• Notifies Brokers and Producers of pertinent information related to client retention;
• Collection of fees, reconciliation and resolution of any outstanding balances within 90 days of invoicing date;
• Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);
• Performs all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• One (1) or more years related work experience
• Encouraged to complete Career Path requirements as communicated by Supervisor
• Valid Insurance License
• Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
