Primary Function of Organizational Unit

The North Carolina Central School of Law offers full-time day and part-time evening programs. Describe the specific tasks and responsibilities related to the function.

The Faculty will develop and design curriculum plans to foster learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensure student engagement. The Faculty will provide tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintain class related records, and assess student coursework. Maintain regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students.

Function Research

Describe the specific tasks and responsibilities related to the function.

The Faculty will conduct research in a particular field of knowledge, and publish findings in professional journals, books, and/or electronic media. Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issues. Keep abreast of developments in their field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participate in professional conferences.

Function Public Service

Describe the specific tasks and responsibilities related to the function.

Serve on various Law School and University committees that deal with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues. Participate in campus and community events.
