Nexstar Media Group is seeking an Assignment & Web Producer to answer incoming news calls, assign daily stories, and produce content across broadcast, digital and web platforms.

You will write, edit, and organize content for newscasts, dispatch photographers and reporters, and coordinate logistics for news personnel, while collaborating with the News Director to craft comprehensive multi-platform coverage. Minimum one year in news or production and a journalism degree are required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Communications/Journalism or related degree.
• One year minimum experience in newsgathering and/or production.
• Experience writing, producing and editing on a desktop editing system.
• Knowledge and understanding of various media platforms.
• Basic understanding and demonstration of multi-media file formats and strong computer skills.
• Understand the importance of social media.

Responsabilidades

• Produce, organize, write, and edit content for newscast.
• Dispatch photographers, reporters and other personnel to cover stories.
• Coordinates logistics for news personnel.
• Participates in daily story meetings and supplies a comprehensive list of all possible news stories and works with the News Director to develop plans for all broadcasts.
• Assists in development, planning and follow-up of all news stories.
• Edits video clips as assigned.
• Collaborate with news producers and managers to conceptualize, produce and present content on multiple media platforms.
• Regularly confer with other team members to pick strongest editorial piece produced daily and optimize those articles for the web sites.
• Own the editorial and creative development and coverage of assigned stories across multiple platforms, including but not limited to broadcast, digital and web.

• Coordinates logistics for news personnel
