Job summary

Fred Meyer is seeking a loss prevention professional to prevent and reduce loss due to bad debt, cash over/short and civil liabilities. The role emphasizes delivering excellent customer service, deterring theft, reporting incidents, and maintaining compliance with corporate policies while staying flexible for various shifts.

The position requires knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, a criminal justice background, and prior security or law enforcement experience, with the ability to pass a drug test

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures and organizational structure.
• Retail security experience.
• Law enforcement experience.
• High school diploma or GED or combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Model Customer 1st behavior and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Detect, deter and/or detain external theft suspects.
• Reduce shrink by preventing external and internal theft.
• Monitor large shrink areas in stores.
• Report incidents to the asset protection manager.
• Provide credible court testimony and support relations through communication and training.
• Identify areas of high theft and verify compliance with corporate policies.
• Maintain flexibility to work any shift, overtime and weekends.
