Job summary

Safeway in Somerville, MA is seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to protect people, products, and profits by reducing theft, fraud and loss. You will use observation skills, technology, and partnerships with store leadership to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for customers and associates.

You will monitor store activity, support investigations, identify risks, and take appropriate action in accordance with policy and laws.

Qualifications

18 years of age or older.
Experience in retail, customer service, asset protection, loss prevention, security, investigations, or other related fields.
Strong observation, communication, and problem solving skills.
Remain calm and make sound decisions in fast paced situations.
Enjoy building relationships with a variety of people.
Safety and well being of yourself and others first.
Take pride in your work and approach challenges with a positive attitude.
Working in a variety of environments, both inside and outside the store, doesn't faze you.
