Job summary

Fred Meyer, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Asset Protection professional to prevent and reduce loss, ensure safety, and uphold company values. You will monitor shrink areas, deter theft, and report incidents to the asset protection team while supporting training and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualified candidates have retail security or law enforcement background, a criminal justice degree or equivalent, and the ability to work flexible shifts and pass a drug test.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures and organizational structure.
• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice; high school diploma or GED.
• Retail security experience; law enforcement experience is valued.
• Ability to pass a drug test and maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Detect, deter and/or detain external theft suspects.
• Monitor large shrink areas in stores and report incidents.
• Report incidents to the asset protection manager and support training.
• Provide credible court testimony when required.
• Promote and follow company initiatives; maintain shift flexibility.
