Job summary

Wegmans is seeking an independent security specialist to support Asset Protection by bridging store leadership and frontline teams. You will prioritize safety, monitor CCTV, and respond to emergencies while maintaining excellent customer service.

Requirements include 1+ years as a sworn police officer with arrest authority, firearm license, and a valid driver’s license. Strong communication, judgement, and problem solving are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1+ years full-time experience as a sworn police officer with arrest authority in a police agency.
• Valid license to carry a firearm.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Conflict management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound judgement and ability to manage conflict under pressure.
• Effective communication and composure in stressful environments.
• Strong technical aptitude, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety in stores to create a positive shopping and working environment.
• Analyze trends and data to maximize sales and minimize loss due to theft.
• Monitor activity to prevent loss, including apprehending and processing shoplifters.
• Foster collaboration with community partners and emergency responders.
• Coordinate and manage the use of CCTV systems.
• Respond to emergencies and provide ongoing support to employees and customers.
• Conduct investigations as directed by leadership.
